VRIKSH the theatre is a theatre group which was launched on 16th August 2015 at at Kerala Club, New Delhi.
It was our first production, a theatrical attempt to narrate the story of V.P. Menon (Rao Bahadur Vappala Pangunni Menon ), who ran away from his home at Ottapalam with nothing but primary education and who by dint of his hard work and sheer brilliance rose to the highest position a civil servant could reach in British India. As the right-hand man of Sardar Patel, he helped to integrate over 500 princely states to become the Indian Union, arguably one of the greatest integrators the world had ever seen. The play also narrates the story of India's transition from colonial rule to Independence and the catastrophic Partition that uprooted tens of millions of people. The play, scripted and directed by Vriksh The Theatre for Kerala club, was staged to critical acclaim and won a special jury award at the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi’s National competition held at Azad Bhawan on 21 February 2016. On the persistent request of all theatre lovers and drama enthusiastic, the play was staged again on 30 September 2016 at National School of Drama (NSD) Mandi House New Delhi.
Choreo was a glimpse of Indian dance, Arangettam orchestrated by 'CHILANKA'; a classical dance wing, at ICCR auditorium, Azad Bhawan, ITO, New Delhi on 11th December 2016.
Vriksh the Theatre organized the first ever Micro Drama Festival in India. It was named as 'Thespis’, the National Micro Drama Festival which was held on 9th April 2017 at Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) New Delhi, India. The festival was a tribute to Thespis of ICARIA, the first person ever to appear on stage as an actor.
The story of the play is by Pradeep Mandoor and the play was directed by Ajith Maniyan of Vriksh The Theatre. This play was Vriksh's entry for the Kerela Sangeetha Nataka Akademi’s (KSNA) National and Zonal competition 2017 which was held on 3 December 2017 at Malvankar Auditorium in New Delhi.

On the occasion of Kerala Piravi Celebration, Information Public Relation Department of Kerala Government and Vriksh the theatre ~art for humanity~ showcased Micro Drama PRARTHANA was held on 01st November 2019 at Kerala House – New Delhi.
Dr. A Sampath & Anne Raja was the lead role in this micro drama, Directed By Ajith Maniyan.
